Summary

In the Northern Tomb Valley, young disciples of the Han clan faced despair after being abandoned during a demon-slaying mission. With heavy casualties and no means to heal, chaos ensued as some fled while others clung to their injured. Chen Hai suggested that if fleeing disciples drew the demon army away, the remaining could defend the valley. As the demon army split, Jiang Ze rallied the remaining disciples to fortify defenses. Chen Hai criticized their lack of preparation but proposed using abandoned tents as kindling to boost morale against the approaching demon forces. The disciples, realizing the need for strategy, began to plan their defense.
