Summary

Shi Yun faces severe consequences for her feelings toward a young man from China, which have brought shame to her master, Gong Jin De. Despite her talents, she is sentenced to execution, coinciding with Gong Jin De's alchemy competition against the young man. Meanwhile, Qin Yi, unaware of Shi Yun's plight, receives a Fire Lotus from the emperor of Da Liang. The emperor offers Qin Yi a position in his royal family, but he declines, intent on hunting remnants of the Yin Corpse Sect. Concerned for Shi Yun's fate, Qin Yi suspects her situation is dire and realizes the emperor may use her execution to distract him during the competition.
