Summary

The Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro symbolizes the city and is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Princess Ana and her friends admire the statue but soon encounter danger in the woods. They are confronted by General Alan, who reveals his twisted motives for wanting Ana dead, driven by jealousy and political ambition. Ka Mi La, Ana's companion, confesses her envy and hatred towards Ana for her privileged life, leading to a betrayal. As tensions rise, Alan aims his gun at Ana, echoing Ka Mi La's desire to destroy what she cannot have. The chapter ends with impending danger for Princess Ana.
