Summary

The chapter takes place in the beginner village of A Ke Sai Er, which has recently gained attention due to the goddess E Li Si. Cecily approaches the Adventurers' Guild to process a commission but faces resistance from Luna, who explains that the targets include E Li Si followers, making it problematic. Cecily insists that the commission is for an alibi as higher-ups from her faith are coming for inspection. Kobayashi and others arrive, and after some banter, Jie Si Ta, a prominent figure in A Ku Xi Si, appears and offers Cecily a chance to stay by completing a trial mission. They head to a cemetery to confront an undead creature, where Hui Hui ultimately defeats it with an explosion spell. Cecily tries to take credit, and Jie Si Ta supports her claim. After returning to the guild, Jie Si Ta decides to stay in A Ke Sai Er to oversee Cecily, much to the group's dismay. The chapter ends with Jie Si Ta revealing he was expelled for making all hot springs mixed bathing, prompting the others to suggest he should leave.
