Summary

Bai Xiao Chun initially resists the authority of Senior Wu Chang, asserting his independence, but quickly shifts to gratitude after being saved. Wu Chang transports Bai Xiao Chun to the grand Giant Ghost City, which overwhelms him with its size and the presence of countless inhabitants, including Soul Scholars and Soul Refiners. The city is situated in a massive, abyss-like pit filled with swirling mists and grotesque heads of ghosts. Bai Xiao Chun learns about the city's inner and outer divisions, the dangers of crossing the moat, and the significance of the Ju Gui Wang's palace. As they navigate the city, Bai Xiao Chun hopes to gain favor and a position within Ju Gui City, but instead, Wu Chang assigns him to be a guard in the magic prison, leaving him stunned and disappointed.
