Summary

Guo Hao, a middle-aged office director, feels lost after the death of Yan Jian Guo, which dashed his hopes for promotion. He awkwardly approaches Li Yun Dao to discuss moving into Qiu Wen Jie’s former office. Li Yun Dao, valuing a low-key personal life, decides to use the office after it’s vacated, prompting Guo Hao to suggest cleaning it up. Li Yun Dao's assertiveness surprises Guo Hao, who feels uneasy under his gaze. During a meeting with Gao Xing Wen, Li Yun Dao praises Guo Hao's contributions, hinting at giving him more responsibilities, which angers Gao Xing Wen, who views Guo Hao as ungrateful. Li Yun Dao also proposes enhancing media relations for better public perception of the police.
