Summary

Fang Yuan and his companions are trapped in the Hulín District, where a massive formation has turned people into zombies, threatening even experienced demon hunters. Fang Yuan proposes an escape, but many choose to stay, trusting their headquarters. He leads a small group, using mental talismans to calm them and showcasing his power by incapacitating zombies. They encounter Alchemist Locke, who seeks to find the formation's core. After a fierce battle, they escape to Red Firefly Town, where they learn of a full-scale war declared by the Dark Night Clan. Despite a victory led by Lord Longinus, the headquarters orders a strategic retreat, abandoning northern branches, including Hulín, to regroup and train young demon hunters.
