Summary

An old man, seemingly 180 years old, emerges from the forest riding a large black-haired wild boar. He offers Ye Piao Ling an elixir that miraculously enhances his abilities. The old man proposes to take Ye Piao Ling as his disciple, but a middle-aged swordsman named Wu Ming warns against it. A confrontation ensues between the old man and Wu Ming, interrupted by a beastly roar that causes both to flee. Before leaving, the old man gives Ye Piao Ling a jade slip, instructing him to find him in two months at Tian Ling Mountain, claiming he has found a promising disciple.
