Summary

Li Yan Qing leaves the Cao residence and learns from Zhang Hu that General Zhong Shi Dao is in trouble after attempting to resign at the Yanfu Palace, causing unrest among the soldiers. Li Yan Qing rushes to the palace, where he finds Zhong Shi Dao kneeling in despair, stripped of his official attire. Despite the general's anger and hopelessness over his son's death, Li Yan Qing persuades him to leave the palace to prevent a rebellion. Inside the palace, Crown Prince Zhao Huan pleads for Zhong Shi Dao's forgiveness, while Zhao Ji decides to issue a decree to appease the army. Li Yan Qing informs Zhong Shi Dao that Liang Shi Cheng is responsible for the framing of his son, but the general, feeling disillusioned with court politics, expresses his intent to resign and return home. A guard then announces that Wu Min wishes to see the general, indicating the Crown Prince's desire to speak with him.
