Summary

Zhong Shi Dao's residence is bustling with visitors eager to curry favor after his expedition. Zhong Lin, his nephew, feels overwhelmed by the guests and decides to escape the chaos. While returning home, his horse is startled by a firecracker, causing an incident where a man pretends to be injured. This man, known for his shamelessness, is later killed by a group of burly men who claim to be related to Zhong Shi Dao. The citizens are outraged and accuse Zhong Lin of involvement. When constables arrive to question him about the murder, Zhong Lin insists on his innocence. Meanwhile, Liang Shi Cheng, a powerful figure, learns of the incident and its potential connection to Zhong Shi Dao, hinting at political machinations at play.
