Chapter 610: Xi Xi's Joy of Flipping Through Books (3/4). [617]
Summary
Yang Yi takes his daughter Xi Xi to a bookstore, hoping to find suitable books for her. While Xi Xi is drawn to large-format picture books, Yang Yi realizes that many available children's comics contain adult themes and humor, which are inappropriate for her age. He recalls a critique by Yu Qian, highlighting the decline of children's literature in China. After searching, he finds only a few suitable books, including educational stories and a science book that Xi Xi picks herself. Although Xi Xi enjoys the outing, Yang Yi is concerned about the lack of quality children's literature and the implications for Xi Xi's future reading choices.Full content
