Summary

Pei Zi Yun, racing through the night, is haunted by the blood on him as he heads towards the county town. Meanwhile, Tang Zhen, a young master, faces disgrace after losing his titles and returning home drunk, ignored by his family. Pei Zi Yun stealthily enters Tang Zhen's residence, overhearing the study attendant lamenting Tang's downfall. Inside, he finds Tang Zhen in despair, contemplating his fate. Pei Zi Yun reveals he has killed those who sought his life and proposes a plan that could restore Tang's honor and eligibility for the imperial examination, igniting a flicker of hope in Tang Zhen amidst his despair.
