Summary

Shi Mu's team prepares for a patrol in Area 9, a swampy region filled with dangerous creatures. After a month of uneventful patrols, they encounter a magical beast, which Shi Mu learns is a reconnaissance creature used by the Black Demon clan. Following this, Shi Mu's team is reassigned to Area 8, where they continue their patrols. Meanwhile, a team in Area 5 faces a sudden attack from the Black Demon clan, resulting in their disappearance. Wei Wen informs the leader of the base, who orders an investigation involving Shi Mu's team and others.
