Summary

Ouyang Bu Ke, gravely injured, is coerced by An Zheng to write down names of those involved in his sect's misdeeds. An Zheng reveals Ouyang's hypocritical reputation as a benefactor, highlighting his manipulative tactics to gain fame while silencing dissent. Ouyang, fearing for his son’s future, reluctantly complies, but attempts to deceive An Zheng by crossing out powerful names. An Zheng, however, sees through this and kills Ouyang with a brush. Afterward, he discovers a mysterious box containing a ledger of gifts from Ouyang's sect to the court and a hexagram pattern, which he decides to keep.
