Summary

General Cheng's transformation into a powerful being allows him to consume monsters, leaving only his normal self behind. The surrounding monsters are initially terrified, but as he approaches, they begin to celebrate his victory with a feast. General Cheng learns about the origins of the monsters, which emerged after a ritual performed by An Bei Qing Ming, and the existence of an underground world filled with various creatures. Despite the danger posed by these monsters, General Cheng reassures that they are generally rational and not hostile. He returns to the surface with food from the feast, surprising Fujiwara Mei Hong, who realizes the underground kingdom's existence. As they discuss the potential dangers and the nature of the underground monsters, a monk unexpectedly knocks on their door, adding to the intrigue.
