Summary

In the Heavenly Court, Buddha Tathagata is deeply concerned about changes affecting the Great Calamity of Journey to the West, particularly regarding the pilgrim's foot strength. Kasyapa is instructed to inform Guanyin Bodhisattva to guide Ye Yi Feng, the new Celestial Punishment God, who has a connection with Buddha. Ye Yi Feng, however, is skeptical of this connection and resists Guanyin's attempts to convert him, citing his mortal life. Guanyin, displeased, threatens to forcibly enlighten him but ultimately departs due to the constraints of the Heavenly Court. Soon after, Ye Yi Feng faces a new threat from Zhao Gong Ming, a powerful figure from the Intercepting Sect, who accuses him of killing Ru Shou. Ye Yi Feng's bold response astonishes those around him, setting the stage for further conflict.
