Summary

In a dimly lit tavern, caravan leader Fuan and village chief Kong Mu discuss the village's growth and a shipment of goods. Kong Mu expresses interest in purchasing everything except slaves, but Fuan reveals most items are reserved for a powerful client. Despite the tension, Kong Mu insists on buying all available goods. After a brief exchange, he leaves, warning of potential dangers around the village. Fuan, intrigued yet cautious, contemplates Kong Mu's intentions. Meanwhile, he meets Old Master Huang, a captured figure with a sharp insight, hinting at deeper troubles within their dealings and the slave trade.
