Summary

After two months at sea, Hao Qi and Zhang Heng arrive in Sabesi, a desert nation, where they meet General Wang Fu, who informs them of their upcoming return to the Sea Sky Nation. Wang Fu provides them with travel funds and intelligence about Sabesi, which is characterized by a harsh survival-of-the-fittest mentality. The nation has a loose alliance of tribes, each led by masters of internal energy, and is known for its valuable resources despite its brutal social laws. Hao Qi is intrigued by the historical significance of the region, particularly the possibility of ancient ruins buried beneath the desert. He and Zhang Heng prepare for their adventure by gathering supplies and are surprised to encounter Su Shi Yan, a familiar figure from their past, in the port city.
