Summary

In Chapter 6, titled "Dark Awakening," a young man faces imminent death at the hands of Zhu Hao Miao, who is caught between his desire to kill and a flickering spiritual light within him. As Zhu Hao Miao prepares to gouge out the young man's eyes, he experiences a moment of rebellion, refusing to be controlled by his murderous instincts. This moment of clarity allows the young man to escape, while Zhu Hao Miao battles an invisible force within himself. He ultimately gains insight into a dark power within his heart, which connects him to the cosmos and divine energies. Exhausted from this struggle, he limps back to his dormitory. Meanwhile, an elder named Zhu Hua Cang observes Zhu Hao Miao and reflects on the boy's potential, adjusting his assessment from negative to cautiously optimistic, recognizing the fear and power that the young man possesses.
