Summary

Shan Fei anxiously questioned Ji Gui about the fate of Sun Shang Xiang, fearing she would be sacrificed. Ji Gui reassured him, stating that Shi Yan wouldn’t harm anyone. However, Cao Guan, burdened by guilt, offered to take Shi Yan's place in the sacrifice, believing it was unjust for her to suffer. Ji Gui firmly rejected this, explaining that the sacrifice was meant for the most insightful individuals to help understand their mysterious realm. He revealed that Shi Yan had volunteered, but her time was limited, needing longevity incense to sustain her understanding. As the sacrificial platform opened, Shan Fei rushed in to confront the situation.
