Journey to the West: The Fiercest Worker in the Heavenly Court.
Chapter 598: Divergence. [598]
Summary
In a conversation between Tripitaka and Sun Wukong, Tripitaka expresses disdain for Sun Wukong's claims about a powerful backer, questioning how someone who was trapped under the Five Elements Mountain could have such resources. Meanwhile, the Western teachings are in turmoil over Tripitaka's unusual behavior, with monks speculating on the cause. The Buddha Tathagata, frustrated by their childish theories, adjourns the meeting and seeks guidance from Guanyin Bodhisattva and Zhun Ti. They discover that Nuwa has influenced Tripitaka's emotions. Guanyin is tasked with suppressing his evil thoughts, while Sun Wukong's rebellious spirit is deemed manageable. The chapter ends with tensions in the mystical realm and hints of internal conflicts among the deities.Full content
