Summary

In the perilous Shi Shan mountains of the Bai Dan Kingdom, a caravan of skilled guards encounters a disheveled boy named Qin Yi, who requests passage through the dangerous terrain. Initially met with hostility, he is eventually accepted by the young lady Ning Shuang, who finds his plight sympathetic. As the caravan progresses, Qin Yi reflects on a mysterious pursuer, feeling the looming danger despite the guards' vigilance. The group sets up camp, where Ning Shuang and her entourage indulge in food while ignoring Qin Yi. A kind young man named Xing Mu offers him meat, and despite the disdain from others, Qin Yi savors the moment, feeling warmth amidst his fears.
