Summary

The story revolves around Tang Seng and his companions arriving at a village plagued by mysterious bird-man skeletons emerging from the Bottomless Pit near Xian Kong Mountain. These skeletal creatures attack the village every full moon, having already devoured seven Da Luo Jin Xian and one quasi-saint cultivator. Tang Seng, intrigued by the situation, seeks more information from the village elders. His companion Yu Tu Jing visits Chang'e in the Lunar Palace, who magically makes the moon round immediately, much to the village chief's surprise, suggesting Tang Seng's group might help resolve the impending skeletal threat.
