Summary

Cheng Dalei wakes up in a dimly lit room, tied to a pillar, and is confronted by a voice claiming he is in the Netherworld, facing judgment for his past sins. Despite his initial confusion and despair, he reflects on his life of violence and realizes he has done little good. After a moment of resignation, he is startled to find an old acquaintance, the little white wolf from Green Ox Mountain, who has been caring for him. They discuss their past and current situations, with Cheng Dalei planning to gather information on the Rong tribe, who pose a threat. As he recuperates, the little white wolf is warned by her second-in-command, Zhang Sanjin, that harboring Cheng Dalei could bring disaster upon them.
