Summary

Lü Bu is filled with dread upon hearing Dong Zhuo's order to kill Diao Chan, fearing her betrayal. Despite his internal conflict, he pretends loyalty to Dong Zhuo, who reveals his plan to eliminate potential rebels, including Wang Yun. Dong Zhuo's sadistic nature is evident as he manipulates Lü Bu into believing he must save Diao Chan while plotting a massacre. Lü Bu ultimately rescues Diao Chan, who, despite her weakened state, reveals her own plan to poison Dong Zhuo. She has created a drug that will incapacitate him without killing him, offering Lü Bu a glimmer of hope to reclaim his humanity. Their bond deepens as she expresses her faith in him, igniting a flicker of goodness within Lü Bu.
