Summary

Shangguan rides slowly along the official road, using the time to restore his magical power with a Willing Power Pearl, which proves far superior to regular elixirs. After two hours, he is pleasantly surprised by the rapid recovery of his magical power. He decides to keep a pearl for emergencies and abandons his horse to soar towards Changfeng Cave. There, he encounters Old Bai, who plans to visit Wan Zhang Hong Chen to practice mysterious techniques left by a great immortal. Old Bai aims to lure out the Nether Mantis to borrow its eggs, using a bronze mirror to reflect moonlight as a lure.
