Summary

Crown Prince Zhao Huan arrives at the imperial study and learns of the Liao Kingdom's chaos following Ye Lu Chun's death. Emperor Zhao Ji proposes sending troops to reclaim their homeland and suggests Zhao Huan be the Supreme Commander. Zhao Huan, realizing he may be used as a scapegoat, insists on being the actual commander but ultimately compromises. They discuss military leadership, with Zhao Huan recommending the removal of Tong Guan and the appointment of Zhong Shi Dao. After negotiations, Zhao Ji agrees to some of Zhao Huan's suggestions, including troop transfers and recruiting generals, while maintaining some control over military appointments. Meanwhile, Li Yan Qing is busy assisting with the rice harvest and learns of his promotion to the capital. He plans to leave soon, arranging for a large ship to accommodate his pregnant wife.
