Summary

Shi Mu ceases his practice of the Red Ape Fire Scripture and contemplates the connection between the extermination stick technique and the Nine Turns Mysterious Art. After three years in seclusion, he returns to his cave, where he learns from Qi Feng that many disciples have been dispatched for sect tasks. Shi Mu reflects on his cultivation progress and decides to seek the Thousand-Year Fire Ginseng to aid his advancement to the False Core realm. He visits Tongliu Square but finds no leads on the ginseng. After a chance encounter with Xu Yuan, he hopes for assistance, but ultimately, Xu Yuan cannot provide any information. However, Xu Yuan mentions he has received some news from other disciples.
