Summary

In the narrative, Yi Fan discusses the whereabouts of his disciple, Ye Piao Ling, with the carefree old Daoist and Wu Ming. They express concern about Yongchang County, revealing it to be a dangerous place due to a deadly ambush set by powerful black-robed figures. These figures, stronger than the Daoist and Wu Ming, are waiting to attack experts from Donglin County. Yi Fan realizes this trap may target his master or father, causing him to sweat in fear. Qiong Qi, worried about his safety, questions Yi Fan's intentions. They conclude that facing the ambushers head-on is unwise and discuss the Ju Ling Zu tribe's characteristics, leading Yi Fan to devise a plan to eliminate the threat.
