Chapter 571: Are There Any Resentments Left?. [574]

Summary

Wu Mian confronts Gui Bu Gui, extracting his soul to address lingering grievances. As Wu Mian slaps the body controlled by the King, Gui Bu Gui’s soul watches helplessly, eventually crying over the repeated beatings. After numerous slaps, the King admits to having no grievances left, wishing only for a humble reincarnation. Wu Mian relents, allowing the King’s resentment to dissipate through the physical punishment. After reclaiming his body, Gui Bu Gui expresses regret over the need for violence, believing dialogue could have sufficed. Wu Mian insists on the necessity of resolving resentment. They prepare for Zheng Yu’s arrival, but find the expected group missing.
