Summary

Li Jian Cheng encounters Wei Zheng, who warns him about the impending threat from Zhang Xuan's forces. Wei Zheng explains that Zhang Xuan is strategically advancing towards Li Jian Cheng's stronghold, Xinxiang County, and has laid a trap to cut off their retreat. Despite the shock of learning that Song Jin Gang's troops have withdrawn, Li Jian Cheng decides to evacuate rather than risk total annihilation. He orders his army to march north through the Taihang Mountains to Bai Xing for safety. Meanwhile, Zhang Xuan, anticipating Li Jian Cheng's response, plans an ambush at Ji County but later realizes he should have heeded advice to lay an ambush at Huixian. As Li Jian Cheng's forces move, Zhang Xuan learns of their direction and decides to redirect his army towards Xinxiang County to secure it.
