Summary

Wu Chang Kong scolds Tang Wu Lin for learning forging, saying he should focus on becoming a Soul Scholar. Tang Wu Lin feels frustrated with his useless Martial Soul and wants to prove himself. Xie Xie, who has a Dual Martial Soul, is also scolded by Wu Chang Kong, who says that having a Dual Martial Soul is not everything and that Xie Xie's Martial Soul is not as good as he thinks. Wu Chang Kong explains what a Dual Martial Soul is and its advantages and disadvantages. He also tells Tang Wu Lin and Xie Xie about the Promotion Competition, where classes compete against each other to move up the ranks. Wu Chang Kong chooses Tang Wu Lin and Xie Xie to represent their class in the competition, with the goal of becoming Class One of Grade One. Xie Xie is confident in his abilities but is also worried about competing alongside Tang Wu Lin, whom he sees as weak. Wu Chang Kong tells them that they will have special training every evening to prepare for the competition. Tang Wu Lin is excited to have been chosen and sees this as an opportunity to prove himself as a Soul Scholar. Xie Xie warns Tang Wu Lin not to drag him down in the competition.
