Summary

Xu Liao acknowledges Wu Ding's help in escaping the Ying Wang faction and greets him warmly. Wu Ding, though not highly ranked, visits to check on Xu Liao, who is cultivating in the Wuling Cave. A purple-robed disciple interrupts, expressing disdain for Xu Liao's status and questioning why he can live in the Wuling Cave. Xu Liao dismisses their complaints and seals the cave entrance with a talisman, angering the other disciples. They attempt to attack the cave, but Xu Liao activates a protective formation, sending them away and sealing their access to Jiulong Island. The group, now furious, plots to complain to a higher authority, but they realize Xu Liao is protected by their master, Jiang Shang.
