Summary

In a politically charged atmosphere, General Feng Yi, under Liu Xiu's command, learns of potential threats posed by Wu Mian and Gui Bu Gui. Skeptical of their reputation, he volunteers to infiltrate their ranks disguised as a constable. However, his plan is quickly thwarted when Gui Bu Gui sees through his ruse. Meanwhile, a mysterious empty sacrificial wine jar, linked to the previous emperor, hints at Gui Bu Gui's intentions. The next day, Liu Xiu discovers a gruesome scene at Gui Bu Gui's mansion, where several bodies lie dead, igniting suspicion and urgency as he searches for Wu Mian and his companions, who are revealed to be on the run, injured and bloodied, on a distant mountain.
