Summary

Wang Wen Shu hides in the mountains, fearing for his life amidst the chaos of numerous rebellions since the Han dynasty's founding. As dawn breaks, he emerges with his followers, aware that the Yingyang troops, led by Dou Rong, have arrived on time as per military law. Dou Rong, respected for his connection to the powerful Dou clan, is eager to act against the wealthy Ren family. Wang Wen Shu faces a dilemma: if he permits Dou Rong to attack, the Ren family will be stripped of their wealth, but if he refuses, he risks losing his own standing with the emperor. The chapter ends with Wang Wen Shu contemplating his next move.
