Summary

Chen Ling, uninterested in tricking the two gatekeepers, instead uses them as cover while he steps out into the rain. Meanwhile, at the Great World Cabaret, Li Ruo Hong expresses disdain for a theater owner challenging him, while a manager prepares a fruit platter for sensitive guests. Amidst the revelry, Li Ruo Hong remains unaware of a man in a brown trench coat—Chen Ling—who has changed his appearance to blend in. As Chen Ling observes Li Ruo Hong, he orders a drink and, after taking a sip, triggers chaos by abruptly stopping the music and shattering the lights, plunging the cabaret into darkness.
