Summary

Three months have passed since Shi Mu began his cultivation attempts, but he struggles to merge Yin and Yang powers, fearing the violent clash could harm him. He recalls the treasures left by the Old Ancestor White Ape, which may hold the key to his problem, but realizes he needs access to the second layer of the Qing Lan Sacred Land to retrieve them. As a hundred-year disciple, he cannot enter without becoming a thousand-year disciple, which requires a thousand years of cultivation. Seeking advice, he approaches Senior Brother Ling Feng, who informs him that a temporary stay in the second layer requires an invitation from a thousand-year disciple. Ling Feng explains the dangers of the Phantom Beast Path, a test for hundred-year disciples to prove their worthiness to enter the second layer.
