Summary

Two little ghosts, seeing their mother, the vengeful female ghost, approach, are filled with dread. Despite Zhu Ji's desperate cries, the female ghost captures one of the children, her greedy intent evident. The narrator struggles to save the child, using a white ribbon and talismans that ultimately fail to penetrate the ghost's body. As the female ghost tightens her grip, the child’s spirit begins to fade. The situation escalates until the narrator successfully ignites the ghost with talismans, forcing her to release the child. Zhu Ji pleads for the child’s safety, as the other ghost rushes to protect the injured sibling.
