Summary

In the southeastern Aegean Sea, King Tlepolemus of Rhodes Island receives an envoy from Agamemnon, urging him to join a coalition against Troy after Prince Paris abducts Queen Helen, igniting outrage among Greek leaders. Tlepolemus agrees to send ships to Aulis for the campaign. Meanwhile, in Ithaca, King Odysseus, hesitant about the war, feigns madness to avoid joining the coalition, despite pressure from his wife Penelope and Prince Palamedes. However, Palamedes exposes Odysseus's ruse, forcing him to confront the reality of the impending conflict, ultimately leading Odysseus to reluctantly prepare for war against Troy.
