Summary

Uncle Tai, also known as Wang Tai, lives in Qian Niu Village, a small farming community by the Cai River. He is the largest landowner in the village, with a 20-acre estate inhabited by his family. Li Yan Qing and his group arrive at the village at night, where they are welcomed by Wang Tai and his wife. Li Yan Qing expresses gratitude for their hospitality, while his wife Si Si and her sister Hu Qing Er share a light-hearted moment about family dynamics. The next morning, Li Yan Qing returns to the capital, where he discovers that a fire has destroyed Bao Yan Zhai, a shop owned by Lady Sun. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, but significant goods were lost. Li Yan Qing suspects arson and vows to find the culprit. He organizes the aftermath, ensuring that the remaining goods are salvaged and that the neighbor's damages are compensated. As he deals with the fire's consequences, a protest led by students erupts in the streets, demanding political changes. Recognizing the potential danger, Li Yan Qing and his companions flee the scene to avoid trouble.
