Summary

Jia Xu taunts the Wei generals, challenging them to compete with Ma Chao. However, the Wei generals choose to remain silent, not wishing to march to their deaths. Jia Xu then plans to provoke Zhuge Liang by threatening to desecrate the Han emperors' tombs. This prompts Liu Bei to order an attack on Chang'an. However, Zhuge Liang diverts the conflict by suggesting they first deal with the Xianbei tribes before attacking Chang'an. Jia Xu had prepared a counterattack, but is dismayed when the Han army does not immediately attack Chang'an as he had expected.
