Summary

Ning Qiu, confronted with a blade, refuses to leave, surprising Niu You Dao. He learns about a waning Buddhist tradition and becomes intrigued by a resolute demon named Xiong Yao. After meeting Yuan Fang, a demon with golden fur, Niu You Dao tests his imperviousness to blades. Yuan Fang transforms into a large golden bear, showcasing his strength, but is wounded when Niu You Dao uses a dagger. After reverting to his original form, Yuan Fang insists on his good deeds at Nanshan Temple, but Niu You Dao questions his motives, revealing a turf war disguised as noble actions.
