Summary

Beisha City, located 40 miles from the seaside, is a fortified settlement with a strategic bay dock crucial for food supplies. Commanded by Jian Wu Qi, the city houses 1,000 Goguryeo troops. An alarm signals the approach of unidentified ships, likely pirates led by Guo Xu Dong. Jian Wu Qi leads 700 soldiers to the bay but is ambushed by the Sui army, suffering heavy casualties. Captured by Commander Zhang Xuan, Jian Wu Qi learns that Zhang intends to reclaim the territory for the Han Dynasty. Following the battle, Zhang Xuan secures Beisha City with additional troops. Meanwhile, in Yidu County, Luo Cheng and Zhang Gong Jin arrive to visit Zhang Xuan, discussing military matters and the ongoing tensions in the region.
