Summary

Cao Jiao Jiao and Li Yan Qing decide to leave the crowded acrobatic performances at Aoshān to explore Imperial Street. They encounter the Cao family carriage, but Cao Yun opts to walk a bit longer. Feeling hungry, they head to a famous meat pie stall where they enjoy a delicious meal, with Li Yan Qing treating them. As they eat, Cao Yun appreciates the cleanliness and quality of the food. After satisfying their appetites, Cao Jiao Jiao expresses a desire for more meat pies, while Cao Yun reminds her to be mindful of their time. They eventually return to the carriage, and as it departs, Cao Jiao Jiao playfully asks when Cao Yun will marry Li Yan Qing. Lost in thought, Cao Yun reflects on her feelings for Li Yan Qing. Meanwhile, in the imperial study, Emperor Zhao Ji receives a concerning report about military supplies, which raises his anger as it threatens his plans for a northern expedition.
