Summary

An old man, living in isolation on Snow Mountain, encounters Bai Yi Lao Ni, who seeks his help to kill a man named Cheng Dalei. Despite their shared past and his knowledge of the Western Shu witch doctors, the old man expresses skepticism about restoring their former kingdom. He reflects on his wasted life and the inevitability of death, suggesting they remain in solitude rather than pursue a futile mission. Bai Yi Lao Ni, mourning her disciple's death, argues that living means taking action, even if the odds are against them.
