Summary

The annual World Youth Mathematics Competition had finally arrived, and the rented venue was enormous. The competition area was blocked off, but the outside area was bustling with tourists, family members, friends, and teachers of the participating students. Media reporters were also present, and several small math games had been set up around the periphery of the competition area. Zhang Ye and Old Wu had just arrived, and they instinctively separated to avoid the reporters. They stopped at the outer edge of the pine forest, where it met the bamboo forest, and Wu Ze Qing sent a text message to Xin Ya. Before long, Xin Ya arrived, and the group began to chat excitedly about the upcoming competition. Xin Ya was curious about Zhang Ye, and Wu Ze Qing teased that Zhang Ye was quite young for her. Xin Ya wanted to see Zhang Ye's face, which was hidden behind a mask, and when he finally revealed his handsome face, she was surprised. The group decided to go in and have some tea, and Xin Ya walked in front of Zhang Ye, glancing at him from the corner of her eye. Inside, Xin Ya asked Wu Ze Qing about Zhang Ye's age, and Wu Ze Qing replied that he was in his twenties. Xin Ya teased Wu Ze Qing about going for a younger man, and Zhang Ye rolled his eyes. Wu Ze Qing mentioned that Zhang Ye had a sharp tongue, and Xin Ya, who was proud of her argumentative skills, let out a loud "Ah!" and said that she had never lost an argument. Zhang Ye remained calm, and Xin Ya asked him what he did for a living. Wu Ze Qing replied that he was a teacher at her school. Xin Ya discovered that Zhang Ye was wearing a sheep's fat jade wristband, which was a gift from Wu Ze Qing's dad. Xin Ya was surprised and asked Wu Ze Qing what Zhang Ye had given her as a token of affection.
