Summary

Lin Tian helps the Maide into a stone house, where she is injured from an attack by the Min men. Despite her injuries and the stigma she faces as a result of her appearance, Lin Tian shows her kindness, which she appreciates. The next morning, the Maide leaves a note for Lin Tian, indicating she has gone to the Back Mountain. Concerned for her safety, Lin Tian sets out to find her. On his way, he encounters a group of lewd young men discussing rumors of "Ling Jing" in the mountains. One young man, particularly shameless, makes inappropriate comments about women, drawing the ire of those around him. Lin Tian finds himself caught in the chaos created by this young man's behavior.
