Summary

In a harsh northwest setting, Jia Zhang Shi, a lazy woman sent for labor reform, struggles to gather firewood after neglecting her duties. While scavenging corn stalks, she discovers two injured individuals, one of whom possesses a gun. Fearing for her safety but motivated by a desire to return home, she decides to help them. The injured man, Yu Da Long, turns out to be a military leader. Grateful for her assistance, he and his comrades reward Jia Zhang Shi, allowing her to return home. Overjoyed, she arrives back to find her son being bossed around by a pregnant woman, igniting her fury.
