The Great Idle Person of the Zhenguan Era.
Chapter 51: Escaping and Seeking Survival (Part 2). [52]
Summary
Li Su intervened to save Princess Dong Yang from being killed by the Society Leader, using his wit and words to persuade the leader to spare her life. He broke free from his ropes and counterattacked, using his hairpin to stab the leader's wrist. After a fierce battle, Li Su killed the leader with a knife, but not before suffering internal injuries and a fractured arm. As the leader died, Li Su collapsed to the ground, weak and bleeding. He instructed Dong Yang to cut the ropes, close the gate, and prepare to kill another person who would be returning soon. The Society Leader had been about to kill Dong Yang, but Li Su's words made him reconsider. Li Su pointed out that killing the princess would bring harm and no benefit, and that the Tang army would likely pursue and kill them if they harmed her. The leader was impressed by Li Su's cunning and silver tongue, but ultimately decided that Li Su was a threat and tried to kill him. Li Su's determination to survive and protect Dong Yang drove him to fight back against the leader, despite his injuries. He used his hairpin and knife to deadly effect, and managed to kill the leader. However, his injuries took their toll, and he collapsed to the ground, leaving Dong Yang to follow his instructions. The scene ends with Li Su's life hanging in the balance, and Dong Yang facing a new challenge as she prepares to face another enemy. The story will continue in the next chapter.Full content
