Summary

Mi Xiao Jing faces pressure to complete a challenging alchemy task assigned by Chen Shou Yi, who insists on its completion. Despite feeling extorted, Mi Xiao Jing reluctantly agrees, while Hong Qing, who is tasked with explaining the process, shows impatience. Mi Xiao Jing's friend, Wang Wei, criticizes Hong Qing's teaching methods, asserting they are ineffective. After a lengthy explanation, Hong Qing allows one question per disciple, leading to Mi Xiao Jing's simple inquiry. Following the session, Mi Xiao Jing learns he can now be an alchemy apprentice, which excites his friend Mu Xiao Yin. The chapter concludes with Mi Xiao Jing anticipating his new role in alchemy.
